ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY

Diabetes mellitus is a complex metabolic disorder resulting from either insulin insufficiency or insulin dysfunction. Type II diabetes is the more common form of diabetes constituting 90% of the diabetic population. Therefore, considering the prevalence and emergence of herbal drugs based on traditional knowledge, developed a scientifically validated herbal combination for management of diabetes. The approach integrates the theories and practice of classical systems of medicine like Ayurveda with the current scientific knowledge, tools and technologies to verify the therapeutic claims of the selected medicinal plants.
